Montsant features many farm cooperatives and family wineries in landscapes marked by the hardiness of the Montsant mountains and the contrasting climate. Try the local red wine varieties of Garnacha and Cariñena whilst admiring the splendid panoramic view from Siurana.

DO Terra Alta
With its ancient wine history and tradition, this land produces 30% of the world’s Garnacha Blanca variety. The altitude of Terra Alta, located about 350 meters above sea level, Mediterranean climate with continental tendency, scarce rains and strong sunlight make wines that are strong with considerable structure.
Cava is made mainly produced with Macabeo, Xarel·lo and Parellada following the champenoise method. The Cava DO has both great cavas and traditional wineries which will reveal the secrets of this internationally acclaimed wine. Visit Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, the Cava capital.
