Golf de la Grande Bastide
Set in the foothills above Cannes, Golf de la Grande Bastide is located five and a half kilometres to the west of another great golfing facility at Opio Valbonne and is regarded as one of the most famous courses in the Côtes d'Azur.
Situated between Nice, Grasse and Cannes, the 18-hole golf course at La Grande Bastide Golf offers a panoramic view of Grasse, Opio and the Châteauneuf de Grasse which dominates the landscape.
Nestled within a region rich in aromas, the architect Cabel Robinson (who once collaborated with Robert Trent Jones Senior) has succeeded in setting the Grande Bastide Golf Course within magnificent natural surroundings. The course is set on a gently undulating site comprising of 7 lakes, open fairways and large bunkers. The length of the tees offers a challenge for the experienced Golfer and a pleasant course for those wishing to perfect their game.
The Golf de la Grande Bastide course offers golfers wide gently sloping fairways and greens that are well guarded by numerous bunkers and water hazards as well as seven lakes and ponds. Blending perfectly into the landscape, the course offers superb panoramic views of the surrounding region.
The course has matured into one of the outstanding parkland courses in the region. Depending on which tee you choose to start your round the course offers plenty of challenges to golfers of any ability.
