Royal Deeside is home to many fine castles, including the Queen's Scottish residence Balmoral Castle and several National Trust for Scotland properties. Overlapping the Cairngorms National Park, the region abounds with beautiful scenery, picturesque sites and special nature reserves.

As you explore, you’ll meet the craftspeople who make the whiskies you love and discover some of the secrets of malt whisky country.

Scotland is justifiably famous for its country sports and our cottages are a great base from which to enjoy the best that the countryside has to offer including; clay and game shoots, as well as famous fishing rivers nearby, stocked with salmon and trout. The region also boasts the famous ‘castle trail’ with more castles per acre than anywhere else in the UK.
