Nestling in the grounds of Fasque Estate, this stunning cottage sits in the glorious countryside of southern Aberdeenshire, on the border of the Scottish Highlands. Ideal for a short or long break at any time of the year, the cottage has been meticulously designed with traditional comfort and individual elegance in mind.

Guests are free to roam the extensive grounds of the estate, home to a wealth of wildlife. Activities available on-site include; shooting, clay pigeon shooting and horse riding, and catering and housekeeping are available by arrangement. Country houses and castles abound in the surrounding areas, such as Crathes Castle near Banchory, with its turrets and gargoyles. There are gardens and woodland walks, as well as craft activities for the children.

The Cottage

Gardeners Bothy is a gorgeous house offering a luxurious interior in convivial surroundings. It has a large open plan living area and kitchen which opens out to the secluded patio and garden on two sides. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor and one on the first, which has large Velux windows maximising the light and views.

Scotland is justifiably famous for its country sports and an estate cottage is a great base from which to enjoy the best that Aberdeenshire has to offer including; clay and game shoots, as well as famous fishing rivers nearby, stocked with salmon and trout. The region also boasts the famous ‘castle trail’ with more castles per acre than anywhere else in the UK.
